Suzanne Renaud, a world famous professional artist passed away at the age of 61. Suzanne specialized in pet portraits and has been published twice in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as other publications.
Suzanne was a self taught artist, who began drawing the world around her before she was of school age. A Boston Terrier by her side, equipped with a single lead pencil and scrap paper, she sketched people, houses, animals and whatever influence. It was only much later in life; she began to paint in oils, watercolors, and pastels. Her love for animals became the highlight of her work for years.
Quoted by Suzanne;
"If my work has created a stronger bond between people and animals, if it brings the slightest smile to your face, I consider myself a successful artist."
"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days."
"I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done."
